Study-Social Psychology: About self consciousness

 We always post opinion or what is done in that day on SNS like twitter.

We reflect our deed by using SNS. 

We call Self-consciousness about having consciousness of myself.

Self-consciousness is mainly divided to two types: Self who looks at himself, and self who is looked by that self.

We always write about ourselves by SNS. It is called as Public self-consciousness.

Self-consciousness is the one who is like, how he is evaluated by others, and how he evaluates himself by his value.

James, who is the founder of psychology in America, divided self into two types.

One is I which means that the self who looks at himself.

Another is Me which means that the self who is looked by I.

Me is also divided into three types.

1.Material self  2.Social self  3.mentalis self

In these three types of selves, Social self is the most important thing to explain self.

"The consciousness about self is always involved with society."

Some scholar said it because all the things around self-emotion are always involved with society.

Comparison among people causes the self-emotion.

And he said that this type of self-consciousness arises from the deduction how others think about himself. It decides the self-emotion.

He called this phenomenon as Looking-Glass Self.

This Looking-Glass Self is composed of three types of elements.

1.The deduction of the self whom others see

2.The deduction of the evaluation about self by others

3.The self-emotion like having pride or self-abasement by its evalutation
